Inspiration comes from anywhere. Paint3D helps users conceptualize their ideas in 3D without a technical knowledge of typically complex 3D program. For this use-case scenario demo, we want to demonstrate a part of customer journey design workflow with Microsoft software ecosystem in the Windows Creators update.
"Sarah comes across a beautiful seashell on her beach vacation. She is an inteupreneur who has always wanted to design her own product. Sarah wants to use the seashell as an inspiration to design a bookshelf speaker but it's hard for her to convey her design idea with just pen and paper in 2D. With Paint3D, Sarah can quickly create a real-time 3D model prototypes representing her exact idea. After a successful pitch with her marketing team with the simple 3D model she created, she commissions for professional 3D renders of her creation. With her real-time 3D model reference created from start-to-finish in Paint3D, she's able to communicate with the industrial product designers more accurately and efficiently."
I designed, modeled, and rendered the real-time "professional" 3D model with Cinema4D, Substance Designer, and Octane Render. Alberto Cerriteno as the Art Director.
And Sarah would go on to incorporate the 3D model she created with Paint3D into other Microsoft office Suite like PowerPoint or Outlook. This allows her to present her concept design in 3D instead of just series of still images that might not fully convey her ideas.
